3B and 3D students tell you how they participated in a book club and a book swap

During the sequence, we learnt about different literary genres (science-fiction, fairy tales, detective stories, romance, graphic novels, etc.…). We answered a survey about our reading preferences : our favorite literary genre, how many books we have read, what we think of reading, when we have read our first comic book, if we have ever read the Harry Potter saga, etc…
In class, we chose and read a book in English and wrote a book review about it. We gave information about the book (characters, plot, genre, summary…), then we expressed our opinion and gave advice to readers about it. All the books we read in class are available in the Library so we can continue reading in English if we wish.
We learnt how to present a book and prepare a literature circle . First, we watched the video of a literary circle between American High School students. We discovered the different roles in a literary circle. Then, we participated in a literary circle with 3 others students : we asked questions to one another about the book we had read, read our favorite quotation and gave our opinion about our book.
Finally, we brought a book to swap with other students (mangas, comic books, novels, romances, biographies,…) : every student gave and received a book randomly.
